Oscar, the Birthday boy

Broken Hill, New South Wales

Today we went to our favourite art Gallery, Jack Absalom.
It's in Chapple Street and easy to find. If you ever go to Broken Hill, this gallery is a must.
Jack is now 83 years old, he started as a 12 year old to do opal fossicking and has an unbelievable big collection of opals, worth millions of dollars.
Not until 1972 he started to paint and is a fantastic outback painter.
Today both Jack and his wife were in the gallery, here you can see him together with hubby.

We strolled around town for a couple of hours, let Oscar run around for a while in the Lion's park.
Had a coffee and headed back to the caravan park.

Trip 3

After coming home from Sweden where we had the warmest July in 120 years, we decided South Australia is too cold for us, that's why we now heading off to Queensland.
We left Williamstown 8am and arrived in Broken Hill about 3.30pm, it's allready a few degrees warmer here.
Staying for two nights so we have time to explore "the silver city" tomorrow and then off to Cobar.
